The secret life of the 'Mirror Kids'

Backward Glass by David Lomax

I am quite a book nerd...BUT because of school and all that, I hadn't been reading as much as I'd like to. Sooo...I went to the library for the first time in like A YEAR and randomly picked out David Lomax's BackwardGlass. And holy crap, what a magical ride that was! I literally could not put the book down! Such a great plot...so very twisted and mind blowingly amazing! It was like fate brought me to such an amazing novel. I hope the author keeps writing more books this fucking fantastic! I could so see this book come alive as a fantast film! Ah that would be pretty awesome eh? (the author is canadian...) Reading the summary of the book got me so interested. Like this random boy finds a dead baby with a note from the future? And then there this tale of a someone named 'Prince Harming' who is a pontential threat to the protagonist. And he meets other 'Mirror kids' like himself and they all put this puzzle together and time travel to save a baby from dying? HMmm. I was so fucking confused at first but damn, the book got even more confusing. But I caught on after a few chapters. So many twsits and turns that made me gasp and keep reading till almost four in the morning!

Questions. I do have some burning questions: oh and ofc some additional statements:
1. Is David Lomax going to write a sequel?
2. Is there any other books the author is working on atm?
3. Why was Curtis called "Prince Harming"? Is it because he was harmful to the kids? Hmm. maybe? it never said in the book but I just asuumed that 4. Poor Rick. I wish he could time travel like Jimmy. 5. John Ward! Poor lad! I wish he would find happiness. He had the most struggle being from like the 17th century. smh
6. Luka and Kenny. wow. I deff saw this coming. Lovely ending to the novel. I loved every inch of it. Made me smile from ear to ear.
7. I hated Rose's mother. Ugh
8. So Luka's grandmother was Peggy?
9. The starwars references SO made my day! 10. When Connor came at the end from 2017, I loved his slang lol. You could so tell he was from the 21st century AHA
11. It's so funny that in this novel the author never really tells you anything...basically, you just figure everything out or put the puzzles together yourself which was pretty fun to do. Very unique way of writing which I loved. xo
Well, I would continue and babble on but...I've got an important place to be tomorrow. Can't be late! ;) So I bid thee farewelll. (Oh gosh I think John Ward aka Obiwan is starting to rub off on me haha)

The secret life of Bates Motel season 3 premiere (late post oooops)

SEASON 3: Episode 1: "A Death in the Family"

Bates Motel is finally back with a 3rd season! YAY. Finally! So I'm going to start of with some complaints and move into concerns and comments:)

**Spoilers about the actual story behind PSYCHO (#3 specifically!) **

1) I am so glad we're going to see more of Dylan (Max Theriort)! His and Norma's relationship seems like it's growing stronger. They actually had a moment towards the end of the episode: when a depressed Norma talks about her deceased mother. So, I'm excited to see more of Dylan/Norma screen time! I am already starting to fantasize about the cute bonding they could share. As for Norman, he might start getting a bit jealous...

2) What about Emma and Gunner??!! They're suppose to be together! Ugh. Not Norman and Emma. Although, that is what she wanted from the beginning of the show, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

3) Did Norman really kill that woman who was staying at their motel?? HMMM...

I'm betting he did. Obviously, the "Norma" in Norman came out. Meaning since he has a split identity (one being Norman and one being Norma), Norman's "Norma" side does not like that he is talking to girls. It seems like the only girl in his life is Norma. And she wants it to stay that way! Therefore, the "Norma" (aka his split identity) goes around killing different women that come into contact with Norman.

4) Dylan's dad/ Norma's brother...is he really going to end up staying in their area of White Pine Bay?

5) The funniest scene for this episode was when Norma caught Norman creeping on one of the guests staying at the motel...How she was minding her business going to throw that trash away and then suddenly see's Norman's "head ass" trying to peep through the woman's bathroom window. HAHAHA

She doesn't even go THAT close to him...but close enough so he can hear her whisper...and she says something like: "Norman what are you doing?! Get back to the house".

Honestly, the funny part was how she swooped up on him while he was creeping through the window. Also, how she didn't go close to him. I thought she was gonna march right up to him and grab him by the hand and yank him away. OoO But nope! Norma just simply whispered that line (that I mentioned up there). She sounded pretty angry though. HAHHA I'm seriously still laughing about this as I'm typing..

I don't know if y'all thought it was funny or not...but hey, I did. heh :P

ANYWAYS, off to bed for me! Need to wake early for a trip to DC! YAY. Plus, my stupid self is waiting for some boy to respond pfft. Well goodnight my imaginary readers! x

The secret life of King Joeffrey being nice? (THIS POST IS REALLY LATE)

Game of Thrones: Season 4, episode 2: The Lion and the Rose

(Photo cred goes to tumblr
Plus i thought this was pretty funny)

Well, So many details and questions in season 4  episode 2. Let's start with the fact that King Joffrey Lannister and Margaery Tyrell's wedding is in session and many dreadful things are going to occur. This episode, sadly, did not speak of the beautiful "Khaleesi" or our little lady, Arya Stark and the ever so gorgeous (even with the beard/scruff he looks fuuh-ine), Jon Snow.

Towards the beginning of the episode, the scene shows Tyrion and Jamie Lannister at breakfast (I assume?) and Jamie is quite depressed with loosing his hand. At breakfast Tyrion asks him why he's not eating. Jamie stays broodingly silent. Jamie seems lost and depressed and Tyrion, a wonderful brother, encourages him by saying: "You lost a hand, not a stomach". That brought me tears of joy. However, that whole scene with Jamie and Tyrion was just the cutest ever. It definitely showed the more sensitive side of Jamie. Also, a little brotherly love and compassion. The second most important thing is that Joffrey was a (pardon my language) bitch, even at his wedding. He was a complete "arse" aka JERK to Tyrion. All because he is an "imp". HA. Oh, Joffrey is so immature sometimes. He made Tyrion be his "goblet holder" and intentionally kept playing around and making fun of Tyrion in front of the whole kingdom. Not to mention, Tyrion had a sad day. He let his "whore" aka lover, Shay, leave because he knew she would be in trouble because Tywin would kill her. It was a sad goodbye, leading Shay to believe that he hates her. And then Tyrion also has to deal with bitchin' Joffrey? UGH. That makes me super angry. Moving onto Brienne of Tarth. Cersei comes up to her, during the wedding, to thank her for saving Jamie. She then asks her if she loves him. Brienne was speechless and responded with, "Your Grace". Wow, my heart can not take this any longer. It is quite sad because we all know that Brienne loves Jamie. Oh. I wish. Anyways...leading to the big dramatic ending of this episode...King Joffrey's murder. It was quite a shock but I feel some type of way. Happy and a bit shocked. Well first of all, WHO murdered Joffrey? Here are a few options as to who might have murdered Joffrey:

1) Sansa:
Throughout this episode, Joffrey made really rude and painful comments towards the Starks and especially, Ned Stark. Also, Joffrey is quite rude to Tyrion, Sansa'a husband. So that makes her a complete suspect.
(Side note: "The Fool" had came out of nowhere and had given her this "necklace" which was suspicious because she did not want it but he insisted she take his mothers necklace. Thought that was a bur fishy)

2) Margaery:
Well, she is the wife of Joffrey and "loves" him dearly, even if he is the most snobbish and childish king. Anyways, she seemed too happy so maybe? I mean , she kept trying to distract Joffrey like saying , "Oh look, there's the pie!" I mean , after she fed him and he drank the wine, he started  choking/coughing.

3) Prince Oberyn Martell:
Well, he is known as the "Red Viper" aka known to poison people. (SPOILER: I only know this because of tumblr) Anyways, we knew even from the first episode of this season that he wanted a Lannister dead. So he is another possible choice.

4) Olenna Redwyne
Margaery's grandmother had paid for half the expenses including the food which she brought up a few times at the wedding.. Idk i just have a hunch.

The secret life of pure bliss in a musical score

First off, musical scores are the music or instrumental pieces to films, shows, and commercials.I also am in love with certain instrumental pieces. Instrumental pieces such as German composer, Bach or Russian composer, Tchaikovsky. For films and shows, the score is in the background of a certain scene.

My top nine favorite scores:

1) Cinematic Orchestra- The arrival of the birds
This score was the first instrumental that got me into loving score music. It all started when I first saw the commercial for Acqua Di Gioia by Giorgio Armani and there was a girl on the beach and it was quite misty and her eyes shone so bright in that mist and the music went perfectly with the scene. I had to find out what the music was in the commercial. Therefore, it took me about a few weeks to find the song. Back then, I did not have a smart phone, so I could not use the ap "Shazam" to see what song it was. So, I googled various things. For example, I googled " Acqua Di Gioia by Giorgio Armani commercial scores" and I finally stumbled across a youtube and yahoo answers about the songs name. I was exceptionally happy and content when I could finally hear the full version of the score. Honestly, the feeling it gives me just listening to this piece of beauty. It feels as if I am one of the birds. Like I am soaring through the sky towards my destination. Just pure bliss and awe is what I feel whilst listening to the score.

2) Two Steps from hell- Nero
I heard this gorgeous score at the end credits of the beautiful but heartbreaking film titled: Anna Karenina. I was so ion awe with this piece. Especially the beginning of the piece the lovely piano keys are being played from low to high it wow, it is just mind blowing. I can not explain it in words but you honestly have to listen to it with your own ears to judge it. My explaining it doe snot give the song justice. haha

3) Jesper Kyd- Enzio's family
I have an ap called "8 Tracks: and it's an ap where people can post music playlists of any genre. Well, since I love scores, I went on a genre called "instrumental> sountrack" and many playlists popped up. I chose the first one. And "Enzio's family" was the first score on the playlist. I fell instantly in love. The score is from the video game called "Assassins Creed" and read up when this score played and a lot of gamers talked about Enzio (a character in Assassins creed perhaps? Idk)  losing his family or something. But seriously, when the sscore starts out, it's like you want to cry. This piece is so beautiful it makes me want to cry, like while listening to it, there's this feel off gloom and desperation and sadness that is so unbearable. The feeling is while listening to this score is like I can feel the pain but I cannot do anything about it. However, it is also beautiful in a way. The way the woman in the song vocalizes, her voice echoing in the piece, going higher and higher. The violin and strumming of guitars is just simply breathtaking. Again, I can not describe how gorgeous this sounds. Yes, I am listening to "Enzio's family" as I am typing right NOW.

4) Yann Tiersen- La Valse D'Amelie (From the french film Amelie)
My sister's digital art teacher in highschool played this song one day in her class while they were doing work. So my sister loves instrumentals as much as I do, so she asked what was the song playing. And he told her it was from a french film titled: Amelie. So that day, my sister and I researched the film and found the whole soundtrack to the film (by Yann Tiersen) and it was literally one hour long and we LOVED it. It was simply extraordinary. It makes me so happy to hear and listen to music that makes my brain overly ecstatic. Again, I cannot express the beauty this song gives me. You will have to listen to it yourself:)

5) Hanz Zimmer- Maestro (from the film The Holiday)
The Holiday is a Christmas film with Jude Law, Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, and Jack Black. These actors/actresses were amazing in this film. It was the most cutest Christmas film ever. In the film, Jack Black's character plays a Hollywood music composer. It's funny because my whole post is dedicated to musical scores and compositions. Anyways, this score is simply perfection. It definitely gives off a Christmas vibe towards the beginning..sort of. I just love it!

6) Dario Marianelli- Your hands are cold (from the film Pride & Prejudice)
The amazing film named Pride & Prejudice has the best music. The composition in this film made me so joyful. Well, this score is playing in the background of my favorite scene. It is towards the end of the film (almost the end) and it is when Mr. Darcy comes to confess his love for Elizabeth. (Well, technically he just shows up and they have a mutual understanding and they huddle and embrace each other...same thing as confessing love for one other BACK in the day. haha) Anyways, so as Elizabeth is looking towards the horizon (all saddened because she believes Mr. Darcy will not show up) but just as the sun is rising, Mr, Darcy appears out of nowhere (aka the fog or the darkness before the sun starts to literally shine). As he starts coming closer, The music starts becoming more happier. It was gloomy at first but as the sun is starting to rise (and Darcy pops out and starts walking towards Elizabeth), the music starts becoming more happier and it is is pure bliss, I tell you!

7) Alexandre Desplat- Lily's theme (From Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II)
I am the biggest Harry Potter fan you will ever meet. Honestly, I was so intrigued and glued to the-screen when it started playing. I think throughout this composition, it is using mostly string instruments. And my oh my, the slowness and dragging of the violins just make the score even more realistic and real. It is to portray the love and relationship between Severous Snape and Lily Potter. However, it was used a countless number of times throughout the film. Especially the beginning of the Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Part II. I am literally about to cry listening to this extraordinary composition by the amazing Alexandre Desplat. I have followed Harry and his friends all the way to the end and to know that it was all over, got me all in my fandom feels. Sadly, this composition is only for about two minutes and a few seconds.

9) The Chemical Brothers- Hanna's theme (vocal version)
The film Hanna (includes the brilliant actress Saoirse Ronan and gorgeously talented Eric Bana) features music from the very talented and funky (in a good way obviously) The Chemical Brothers. This score does have some words in it. The woman is saying:

"Dream... how I dream to feel. Dream... how I dream to feel, And everything will fill with light. A golden sun would fool this night And all that is and ever was.
Begin again. Begin again."

That is all they repeat in the song/composition. It has a very child like feel to it in the beginning, with xylophones. And theres a girl or a woman singing or drawling/ cooing and it is simply dream like. (dream like quality) And then towards the middle, a bit of rock-ish/ electric guitar comes out of no where but then suddenly disappears. Simply genius. I love love LOVE it. However, if you hear the one with out vocals then it just humming. (:

Also the lyrics are just beautiful. Totally relates to Hanna's situation. xx

P.S.
GUYS. I am extremely bad at explaining things and especially songs and such. I am truly sorry. I wish I could explain to you the way I really feel about these wonderful compositions. Quite indescribable, I think. haha thanks for listening. Yes, only nine favorites because it was hard for me to choose a tenth composition. okay. I have history in a few minutes! Thanks to whoever is reading my shit. Hardly anyone, I suspect. ;P

The secret life of Game of Thrones season 4 premiere

Well, I must say yesterday night's season 4 premiere was incredibly amazing. Questions to ponder about:

1) Will "Red Viper" finally get his revenge?

2) Which Lannister will die this season?

 3) Will Jamie have a change of heart after witnessing his snobby nephew (or should I say "son")?

Have I mentioned that there are literally NO Stark's left! 😩😢 And poor Sansa, unhappy at Kings Landing. On a happier note, Khaleesi's dragons are bigger and more fierce than ever! Also, the switcheroo (aka new actor playing Daario this season) with "Daario Naharis's" character! Wow. He's gawwjusss. Lastly, the anticipation of Geoffrey & Margery's wedding is driving me crazy!

I'm deffo excited for next weeks ep and the rest of this season!!

The secret life of "The Messenger"

“Sometimes people are beautiful.
Not in looks.
Not in what they say.
Just in what they are.”

                                                           - I Am the Messenger by Mark Zusak

This wonderful quote from above is from the beautiful novel by Mark Zusak titled, I Am the Messenger. Whenever I read a novel, I ALWAYS find a quote that speaks to me or made me think or influenced me. For those who have not read the novel, (A little background info about it)

I Am the Messenger is about a young man who lives a boring life and one day when he stops a bank robbery his life changes forever. Ever since he stopped the bank robbery, the first (of many) aces arrives in the mail. That is when Ed Kennedy becomes "The Messenger". Someone is sending him cards with instructions to help someone but who is behind the mission?

This quote is exceptionally true because the physical look of a person and their personality is not the main aspect one should look forward to. Sometimes "what they are" is the important part to look at. In my opinion, I feel that one should not look too deeply into someone. If they do, then they will find the negative and positive aspects of that person. What if the negative part changes what one thinks of the person? An opinion about someone can change drastically by finding out the negative aspects of someones life.

So, sometimes it is best to forget the past and look to the future. We people have one life and what is the point in keeping "grudges" or not "forgiving" someone for something they did? Even if it is COMPLETELY horrible, take time and forgive the person. In the quote  the "what they are" part of the quote means the overall view of a person.

People are beautiful in their own way, not their physical looks and not what they say just in what they are. Look beyond the past and look forward to the future. Overall, live life with optimism and positiveness. That is how I live and that is working out quite well for me.

The secret life of staying-up-till-230AM

I need sleep...ASAP

I honestly need sleep but I actually feel very lively and energetic. Ugh, watch it hit me tomorrow morning! I am going to have to wake up so early too! Oh life. *sighs* Well, let me explain why i am up so late. First of all, I have a research paper that I HAVE NOT started at all. I also just finished a history essay about a novel I read...sort of. I have a bio lab exam coming up next Tuesday...I have not looked at much of the chapters. Oh did I mention, it is 3 chapters? I also have three English readings I must highlight and read. Just a lot of shit going on for me. Plus, I am quite hungry at this moment but am lazy to get up make myself a late night snack. Sooo, overall, I am mad and, as teens these days would say, "salty" (Urban Dictionary it please, if you do not know the meaning) about my life right now.

I need to work on studying so farewell my friends and no readers. ( I bet NO ONE reads this crap I write but whatever. Do it for the vine. *insert wink emoji* )
